
On July 16 and July 17, CNIPA annouced 7 design patent invalidation decisions in favor of Asics Corporation. Asics requested CNIPA to invalidate these 7 design patents owned by 4 different Chinese parties, among which 4 were owned by Huili (Warrior Shoes), a shoe making company famous in China and dated back to 1927, 1 was owned by Qiaodan, the company that had trademark disputes with the basketball player Michael Jordan and the other 2 were owned by two Chinese individuals.
All 7 design patents were completely invalidated on the basis of conflict with Asics Corporation's prior trademark rights Nos. 5875801 and 270965. The design patents and the relevant trademarks are shown in the picture.
